Grooming Terms and Conditions

• By sending your dog to Canine Capital for grooming you consent to your dog being photographed and their images being used for educational, promotional and marketing material.

• By sending your dog to Canine Capital for grooming you understand and agree to the following:

• Prices are indicative only and will be tailored individually to each dog. For a more accurate price please discuss this with us when dropping off your dog/s.

Please be aware that our grooming services require you to collect your dogs within 30 minutes after their scheduled appointment time ends - or within 30 minutes after being contacted by our grooming team. If you are going to be later than 30 minutes after their scheduled appointment time ends we require a phone call/email notice and additional charges may occur. With all of our grooming services, a full day of daycare will be charged when your dog is not collected on time.

Early appointment drop-offs: If you need to drop your dog off more than 15 minutes prior to their appointment there may be an extra fee of $10 per hour charged.

Before opening hours drop-offs. We open our grooming salon from 9am. We charge a $20 fee per dog for dogs dropped off prior to 8:45am. Please note, we can not accommodate dogs being dropped off earlier than 8am.

Late show charge: a $15 fee is charged if you show up more than 10 minutes late to your dog’s scheduled grooming appointment. If you are more than 20 minutes late Canine Capital LTD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule your dog’s grooming appointment.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in a 50% fee of the appointment price being charged. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late to your dog scheduled appointment time a 50% fee will be charged if we can no longer fit your dog into the schedule that day.

No shows: If you do not show up to your dog’s scheduled grooming appointment without letting us know, you will be charged 100% of the grooming appointment. For future bookings, you will also be required to pay a 50% deposit to make another booking with us. If you do not show up twice within the same 12 month period then the appointment must be paid for at the time of booking. This will be non-refundable if you do not follow our cancelation policy again.

The '“Hygiene/Mini Groom”, “Puppy”, and “Bath, Brush and Blow-Dry” groom do not include any length taken off the body coat (excluding a hygiene clip or light feathering) or any excessive brushing out of knots or matted fur/hair. These are only included in our “Full Groom” service.

Double-coated breeds: We do not shave down double-coated breeds, e.g. Border Collies, Huskys, and Spitz’s, as this is detrimental to the health of the dog and their coat. This causes damage to their fragile heating and cooling system and may never grow back correctly. The only time shaving a double coat is considered is when matting is too extreme.

Excessively matted or knotted hair may require an additional charge as well as dogs that are extra wiggly or that require more time than the allocated amount. Dogs that are excessively matted or overgrown and those that require a pre-shave/initial groom will also incur an additional charge from $20+, depending on condition, size and cooperation.

Matting: Matting can cut off circulation to your dog's skin and causing hematomas (bruising). Risks associated with matted coats and the removal of matts can include; bruising, nicks, cuts or abrasions, clipper burn etc. Matting can also hide skin conditions such as infections or skin irritations, sores, or parasites like fleas. We will always take extra caution when dealing with dogs that come matted.

Canine Capital LTD takes no liability for any bruising, nicks, cuts, abrasions, infections, or skin irritations that occur during or after grooming or as a result of knotting and matting fur/hair, or dogs behaviour.

Our policy is humanity over vanity, this means that any dog that comes in with matted/pelted or overgrown coat will be given a comfort groom, usually a #7 all over. We will not “de-matt” as this can cause unnecessary pain and discomfort to the animal.

The health and safety of your dog/s and our groomer/s will always be our number one priority. If your dog’s groom can not be completed due to health and safety reasons including but not limited to, dogs’ behaviour (nipping, biting), health conditions including skin issues, or un-cooperation, you will still be charged the full price of their booked service.

Please note that all dogs showing signs of fleas will be given a flea bath regardless of booked service, additional fees may apply.
